He has participated in numerous exhibitions of contemporary art as well as held solo exhibitions of his work. In 2008, Wasim presented two Short Films (Rahi Zindagi tu Phir Milenge and Shopkeeper) in the workshop Logistics of Perception: Images from Conflict Zones organised by MAJLIS (Mumbai) at Adi Shakti Pondichery. He is currently a lecturer in the department of Fine Art, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
