About

Fresh New Anxieties is a Goldsmiths-based group focusing on collective methodologies of self-help, structural critique and mobilisation. They facilitate discourse through organising seminars and getting involved in panel discussions.  United by their common experience of feeling inferior, ill equipped and subordinate under the conditions of late capitalism, they carve out space for care in a world which sees vulnerability as liability and exhaustion with the outside can be communicated. All this as resistance to institutional structures which systematically contribute to people’s disempowerment and alienation, adding to an epidemic of poor mental and physical health.

Fresh New Anxieties discussed their practice at ‘Research Network: Luxury’ at Iniva in 2018.  The presentation focused on designing sustainable self-care and professional frameworks in relation to chronic health conditions, disability and neurodiversity
