About

Charlotte Ngo-Suet Mui (b. 1996, Hong Kong) is an artist, art librarian and tarot reader based in London. Through her paintings, Charlotte explores the ever-blurring boundaries between external reality, subconscious realities, and memory. She views the act of repetitive mark-making – whether through her work as an artist, a librarian, or in writing – as a spiritual practice, informing her divination practices.

She held her first solo exhibition Have A Rice Day at Alisan Fine Arts in Hong Kong (2022), and worked with Alisan Fine Arts for several group exhibitions including Chinese Surrealism at Alisan Fine Arts, Hong Kong (2021); Beyond Tradition: The Metamorphosis of Chinese Art at Cromwell Place in London (2023), and finally as part of Alisan Fine Arts’ presentation at ART SG 2024 in Singapore (2024).

Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Arts (English and Art History) from the University of Hong Kong (2018). Between 2018 and 2023, she worked as Collections Assistant at Asia Art Archive, Hong Kong. In 2023, she relocated to London, and is currently working as Assistant Librarian and Communications Coordinator for iniva (Institute of International Visual Arts).
