Christine Takengny is an independent curator based in London. With Teresa Cisneros, she curated the exhibition ‘Whose Map is it? new mapping by artists’ at Iniva in 2010.

Before studying curating at Goldsmiths College in London, Christine Takengny worked in Germany at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, Documenta 11 and Ulmer Museum. In 2008, she was the Assistant Curator for Martin Beck’s exhibition ‘Panel 2: Nothing better than a touch of ecology and catastrophe to unite the social classes’ at Gasworks, London and for the exhibition series GSK Contemporary at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Other of her shows include ‘gold&delicious’ (The Apple Tree, London, 2008); ‘Springboard’ 18th  Ulm Triennial  (Ulmer Museum, 2006); ‘Chinese Whispers’ (Saasoon Gallery, London, 2009); ‘ethKnowcentrix – Museums Inside the Artist’ (October Gallery, London, 2009) and ‘Curating Fictions’, a series of talks at the Whitechapel Gallery in London.

In 2009, she received a grant for a curatorial research trip to South Korea from Goethe Institute and was invited to curate the exhibition ‘Flexible Aura’ for Brain Factory in Seoul.
