Alexander Wendt produces sound art. He uses different media platforms to connect artists and audiences, sensitising people in their environments. His installations and compositions claim their space in visual, broadcast and performing arts alike. Alexander also lectures on sonic arts, media and design internationally.
Alexander has been producing and showcasing cutting edge electronic music and digital arts for the Frequenzen radio programme for the last six years. In 2006 he was awarded funding for a collaborative psycho-acoustic research project, connecting the fields of arts and science.
Since 2007 Alexander has focused on exploring interactivity in gallery and live performance spaces.
His works explore interactive composition and the detrimental effects of sound. In a performance of accidental music, he destroyed an entire edition of his “Unreleased” album.
Wendt remains composing and pushing boundaries for himself and other artists with his imprints 12X50 Recordings and Miatera.
