Yasmina Reggad

Yasmina Reggad graduated from Sorbonne University specialising in History of Middle Ages. She worked for about 10 years in the publishing industry and public institutions in France, Mexico, Canada and Spain.

She is now an independent photography curator based in the UK, and the director and founder of Photo-Festivals for which she is also Programmes Coordinator.

Reggad curated the collective exhibition Time for the Collectives Encounter at Format International Photography Festival (UK, 2009).
She co-curated From Here, a photo exhibition for the Brighton Fringe Festival (autumn 2009, UK). Reggad is an active promotor of the photo collective and photo festivals culture. She is a regular speaker at the National Photography Symposium in the UK and lately reviewed portfolios at Format09 and FestFotoPoA.

Recently, she co-founded the bimestrial event Photo Forum Beirut with Zico House (January 2010, Lebanon) in which she is still actively involved.

Yasmina Reggad has received bursaries and the support of International Curators Forum, Tate, Sharjah Art Foundation and Arts Council England.
