Adelaide Bannerman is a freelance curator based in London.

Bannerman was Assistant Curator at Iniva 2001-2, and worked freelance on numerous projects for Iniva between 2003-11. She works in curatorial, consultative and project management capacities for organisations that include Autograph ABP, International Curators Forum (ICF), African and Asian Visual Artists Archive (AAVAA), PLATFORM, The Showroom, Live Art Development Agency, Hastings Museum and Art Gallery, Arts Council England.

Her research interests are focused on highlighting the performative gestures and responses in live and visual performance art – referencing individual and collaborative practices and also choreographed movements in public and private space. Self-initiated and commissioned projects include Performance: Strategy and Process (Artsadmin, London 2004) Yes Yes Y’all (Hastings Musuem and Art Gallery, East Sussex 2007), With Bated Breath (Artprojx Cinema, New York 2011), Odd Fangled Approaches (Curatorial Timeshare, London 2013), Rosa Emilia (HIAP/Frame, Finland 2016-18).
