iniva is inviting designers to create a bold new leaflet that celebrates our work in radical art, culture, and community. The leaflet will introduce new audiences to iniva and the Stuart Hall Library, while doubling as a striking poster that people will want to keep and display.
The leaflet should highlight the Library and Archive’s unique focus on global contemporary art, race, identity, class and gender, and encourage people to join as members, use our resources for research, and arrange group visits.
This is a paid opportunity to create something bold, celebratory, and lasting that captures the spirit of the Library at the heart of iniva.
The brief document can be found in the link below. This document gives further details, including the project background, requirements, and submission data. Please read the brief in full and make sure you meet all the criteria before submitting your application.
Following expressions of interest, one artist will be commissioned for the leaflet design.
How to apply
To apply, please send an expression of interest to Tavian Hunter, Library and Archive Manager, at library@iniva.org by 9 November 2025. Your expression of interest should include:
- A short statement describing your idea and how it responds to the brief (max 300 words)
- Examples of previous work (up to 3 PDF attachments or links) that demonstrate your style and experience. If you have designed leaflets before, please include them as examples for our reference.
These expressions of interest will be reviewed by the iniva team, with selection based on creativity, accessibility, environmental responsibility, and alignment with our values. We will reach out to the selected artist to commission them for the project.
Design Fee
The selected designer will receive a £1200 design fee for 5 days of work, including initial design scoping, design review and meetings. The chosen designer will also be credited on the leaflet and across iniva’s platforms.
