020 7749 1240 - Artists
As an island seemingly adrift and cut off from the West, Cuba holds much appeal. With international sanctions and embargoes affecting the country economically, visual art has a special status as it is exported freely across its borders. Artists are at the forefront of this cultural exchange and play a key role in understanding art from Cuba in an international context.
Join the discussion with an invited panel of curators, historians and writers who include Gabriela Salgado, Curator of Public Programmes at Tate Modern; and Professor Oriana Baddeley, University of the Arts. The discussion will be introduced and chaired by Sebastian Lopez, Director of Iniva.
