The culmination of Mary Evans’ residency at Leighton House Museum, Filter contains an essay by Gilane Tawadros and a conversation between the artist and Julia Findlater.

During her residency, Evans ‘excavated’ the history of Lord Leighton and his home. Evans’ subtle interventions appear, at first, to be part of the historic fabric of the building but are, on closer inspection, something altogether different as the artist investigates the heavily coded sign systems of the Leighton House Museum.
