The INIvators (Iniva’s youth advisory board) in collaboration with artist Kulwinder Bajar present a collaborative project at Rivington Place.
Taking conversation as their theme, the INIvators with artist Kulwinder Bajar have programmed a series of events and an installation inspired by Donald Rodney. The project has been designed to consider how conversation can affect us, move us and produce change, as well as to open up the conversations that Donald Rodney’s work continues.
Known as a brilliant conversationalist, Donald Rodney’s artfully honed skill performs its way throughout his work. Defying easy categorisation, interpretations of his work fold back on themselves to reveal fresh layers of questioning, inviting viewers into playful and sometimes difficult conversations that coax and push the ensuing discussion further.
