Cart-og-ra-phy: the unfolding of mobile narratives Dia Batal

Artist Dia Batal takes her cart·og·ra·phy project around Shoreditch, mapping the personal narratives of women from the local area. Batal uses the object of the cart to cross boundaries and form new paths of communication. In collaboration with St Hilda’s Community Centre.

Dia Batal was born in Lebanon and lives and works in London.

Meet at Rivington Place at 2pm.

Ideas and work from the artists’ project will be on display in the Education Space Thursdays 12-9pm, Fridays & Saturdays 12-6pm from 2 June – 24 July 2010. Organised to complement the Whose Map is it? exhibition.
