The Young Curators on the Curate Art course are staging the Best of Art exhibition at City Hall this autumn. It follows their summer exhibition at Spitalfields Market as part of the Tower Hamlets Summer Uni Showcase.
The Best of Art exhibition features fifteen works in different media selected by the Young Curators, aged 10-25. It is a fantastic display of work put together by participants on a huge variety of Summer Uni courses across the capital including street art, contemporary drawing & painting, digital photography, jewellery design and street fashion.
The course led by tutor Adelaide Bannerman is an intensive introduction to the process of selecting and exhibiting art works. Participants have received practical tuition from visual arts professionals, met with artists, and made off-site visits to galleries including the National Portrait Gallery, Hayward Gallery, Royal Academy of the Arts and The Delfina Foundation.
The Best of Art exhibition is at City Hall, The Queen’s Walk, London, SE1 2AA between Monday 19 and Friday 30 October from 8.30am to 5.30pm. To find out more about the Summer Uni London network and how you can get involved visit http://www.summerunilondon.org/.
