As part of Iniva’s Creative Mapping programme, artist Monica de Miranda has been working with a group of young people from the Max Roach Centre in Lambeth to make exploratory journeys.
Exploring and documenting their travels through their local borough, Lambeth, and the less familiar environment of Iniva’s home borough, Hackney, the group collected data to construct their artworks. The artworks reflect the group’s thoughts and reflections about mapping and journeys in relation to their personal and cultural identities.
The resulting artworks are displayed at Rivington Place with an exhibition in the Education Space and an installation inside a special onsite caravan.
