During November our NEW series of art education workshops are facilitated by artist and educator Matthew Krishanu*. Each session is designed to explore artworks found within our Emotional Learning Cards sets, focusing on the form, content and context of an artwork for a wide range of educational and participatory settings.
Art Education Workshop Series
Thursday evenings 6-7:30 pm at Iniva, Rivington Place
Cost: £65 for series of 3 sessions

WORKSHOP DATES:
6 November Exploring FORM including the formal aspects of an artwork – looking at colour, composition, media and scale – and how these visual elements affect the viewer.
13 November Exploring CONTENT including the multiple readings of narratives in an artwork, juxtaposing images to create new connections, and explore the symbols and signs in images.
20 November Exploring CONTEXT including the identity of the artist behind the works and the art world behind the artist.
Participants will be given worksheets including practical activities and discussion points to take away. All course attendees will also be given a discount on our Emotional Learning Cards available at Rivington Place, including our upcoming set The A-Z of Emotions.Places are limited so early booking via Eventbrite is advised.

Workshop Facilitator
*Matthew Krishanu is an artist based in London. He has exhibited nationally and internationally and has undertaken commissions for Whitechapel Gallery, Camden Arts Centre, Iniva and Gasworks. Matthew has extensive experience working in participatory settings, including leading sessions at Tate Modern, National Portrait Gallery, Camden Arts Centre, Whitechapel Gallery and the V&A Museum of Childhood. He has led CPD sessions for the Courtauld Gallery, Bow Arts, and for the British Council (India). Matthew’s essays and articles have been published by The Courtauld, the British Council, and a-n Magazine. He has curated collaborative exhibitions for English Heritage and Iniva, and co-curated exhibitions at the RIBA and Whitechapel Gallery.
