Workforce Shiraz Bayjoo

Celebrate the completion of the giant communal flag which has been created as part of the Workforce project. Meet Shiraz Bayjoo who has transformed the Education Space into a temporary artist-run factory.

For the past few weeks exhibitions visitors, schools and community groups have contributed – sewing, stitching and conversing, in the manufacture of this unique artwork which reflects the different identities of the workers and is an example of an industrial alliance.

The Workforce project picks up on themes of textile production and labour in the exhibitions by NS Harsha and Chen Chieh-jen.
