Come and share with us on our table and gain a glimpse of the iniva’s Stuart Hall Library and archive collections. Volunteer and poet, Fathima Zahra, will guide you through the material and pose questions on community, writing and the role of the artist. The selection includes work by artists from marginalised communities across the UK and explores the nuances, challenges and joys of community.
Some of the featured material will include poems from More Fiya: a new collection of Black British poetry, Beacon of hope: New Beacon in poetry and prose as well as publications that result from artist residencies such as Two stops short of Barking.
The talk will take place at 6 pm and accompany the Stuart Hall Library Late Opening, which allows visitors to be in the space till 7:30 pm.
