Join artist Joy Miessi in conversation with curator Nicole Crentsil, discussing Miessi’s journey through embracing her Blackness and how it has impacted her practice as a young Black British artist. They will examine the influence of hair and skin as a cultural catalyst for wider conversations on self love and mental health. Join this stimulating conversation, retracing Joy’s artistic timeline and literary influences. Joy and Nicole will explore the significance of collaboration, creating digital capsules and documenting one’s story.
