Londstallation: A digital graffiti chronicle aims to encourage young people to explore their identity and experiences through the use of digital mediums and the internet. They will work in collaboration with artists Larry Achiampong and Obinna Nwosu to create video portraits.
Young people in London are connected to their peers globally through the internet and digital technologies. The Londstallation project is a place where young people from Hackney can use these ways of connecting to explore questions about their lives and experiences.
Using the internet, music files, photographs, lyric writing and digital image files, the young people will create their own video portraits. These digital video portraits are not static images but amalgamations of concepts and experiences which can be viewed in person or online.
The project is delivered as part of the Discover Young Hackney ’09 programme.
