Cartwright Hall Commissions Avtarjeet Dhanjal and Zarina Bhimji

Avtarjeet Dhanjal and Zarina Bhimji were commissioned to create new works to be displayed at Cartwright Hall, Bradford. These artists' commissions acknowledged the mainstream presence of artists of South Asian descent in Britain without divorcing them from their Indian sub-continental heritage. The commissioned works now form part of Cartwright Hall's permanent collection.
