About the Project
Present Land is a community art project exploring climate justice through intergenerational collaboration. Hosted at the Stuart Hall Library and supported by Westminster City Council, the project invites a London-based artist to work closely with a local community, connecting participants aged 16–25 and 65+ through four participatory workshops taking place between October and December 2025. The project culminates in a public Open Day in January 2026 and includes collaboration with members of Climate Reframe, a network of climate justice experts.
This is a paid opportunity for an artist to spend time with a community in Westminster, build a relationship of trust and mutual learning, and shape a creative response to the climate crisis through intergenerational dialogue. The project will be supported by iniva’s Curator, with workshop co-facilitation offered by Climate Reframe.
Role of the Artist
The selected artist will:
- Lead on identifying and working with a local community group (with iniva’s support)
- Develop a relationship of care and dialogue with the group
- Facilitate four participatory workshops (Oct–Dec 2025), co-designed with the community and Climate Reframe
- Contribute three short digital outputs over the course of the project (e.g., workshop plans, a reflection text, or short videos documenting the process)
- Co-design the project’s final Open Day in January 2026

- Research & Community Building: July–September 2025
- Workshop Delivery: October–December 2025 (4 sessions)
